Description: 'Sparky' has bright, spiky, yellow hair, usually with little streaks of ash and dirt in it, and electric-blue tips. She wears a sort of orange "jumpsuit". Underneath the jumpsuit is a black t-shirt. Sparky typically has dirt smeared on her clothes and arms, and little parts where it's slightly burned. She's the most engineer-ish person out of her friends that also knows how to kick butt with a weapon.


"Ellis Sparke!"
The call reverberates throughout the crowd. I freeze in my tracks, stopping halfway through the giant mass of District 3 members, all with more of a chance to be called than myself. Eyes wide, I register my real name being called by the powdered-face woman. Gasps ripple throughout the horde of people, along with small outbursts of my nickname, 'Sparky'. Effie repeats my name, and I hurry up to the stairs to the platform. People still can't believe I'm being called, but no one volunteers for me. Typical. None of my friends stand a chance against wild animals, much less the Capital. Not that there's much of a difference.
As I reach the stairs, Effie smiles at me, her sweet face just making me angry. Angry at the people that live in the Capital; angry at the fact that these stupid games even exist.

Okay, so this is my fanfic entry for 's contest. I haven't coloured it, but I decided to go ahead and add the extra stuff just in case I can't get around to it today. I probably will, but I just HAD to see what you guys think about this. I hope you like it!
